Cisco ONS 15454 Carrier Packet Transport Release 9.5.12 - CPT v2.0

Description

The Cisco ONS 15454 Carrier Packet Transport Release 9.5.12 Version 1 instructor-led course is a lab-intensive course that introduces you to the Cisco Carrier Packet Transport (CPT) network. You will learn about the M6 and M2 shelf hardware installation, power connections, and network connection.Cisco ONS 15454 Carrier Packet Transport Release  course you will learn about the CPT 600, CPT 200, and CPT 50 Satellite. The course covers the four kinds of Ethernet virtual circuits (EVCs: Ethernet private line, Ethernet virtual private line, Ethernet private LAN, and Ethernet virtual private LAN). There is a section on how to install connections to an external router network and how to configure EVCs to it. You will learn how to set up the network for Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) Transport Protocol (TP) and install MPLS-TP tunnels, Ethernet pseudowires and virtual private LAN services (VPLS), which are multipoint pseudowire. New to this version of the course are how constant bit-rate services, such as T1 and T3, are carried via EVC and pseudowire and how Sync is configured in the CPT network. Moreover, In Cisco ONS 15454 Carrier Packet Transport Release course The last section covers integrated dense wavelength-division multiplexing (DWDM), where DWDM is configured in the same chassis with CPT.

Objectives

Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:

  • Connect and configure a Cisco ONS 15454 M6 chassis
  • Install the fanout group connection to the CPT 50 Satellite
  • Install provisionable patch cords between CPT600/200 nodes
  • Configure generic communication channel (GCC) between nodes
  • Create EVCs
  • Install node settings for MPLS-TP
  • Create MPLS-TP tunnels and Ethernet pseudowires
  • Install and test quality of service in the CPT network
  • Create VPLS circuits
  • Install interfaces to external router network
  • Install SyncE in the CPT network
  • Configure T1 circuits using EVC and pseudowire
  • Install integrated DWDM and create satellite links over DWDM network
