Cisco IP Telephony v4.1 part 2
Implementing Cisco Unified CallManager Part 2
(CIPT2) v5.0 is designed to provide learners with the necessary knowledge and
skills to enable video calls and to secure, monitor, and manage a Cisco Unified
Communications solution based on Cisco Unified CallManager, the call-routing and
signaling component of the Cisco Unified Communications solution.
This update covers numerous changes to Cisco Unified CallManager Serviceability
and management resulting from a change in the operating system caused by the use
of an appliance-based model. Previous Microsoft Windows tools for system
management are now embedded within Cisco Unified CallManager GUIs or Cisco
Unified CallManager Real-Time Monitoring Tool (RTMT). This course update covers
changes in Cisco Unified CallManager CDR Analysis and Reporting (CAR), the
syslog viewer, trace collection and analysis, Cisco Unified CallManager RTMT,
and alerts, among others.
Numerous security enhancements and changes were implemented in Cisco Unified
CallManager Release 5.0, including security profiles, encrypted phone
configuration files, Secure Real-Time Transport Protocol (SRTP) to H.323
gateways, session initiation protocol (SIP) trunk encryption, and digest
authentication, among others.
